Weddings at The Mandarin

The Mandarin, in all its guises is one of the most photographed houses in la Basilicata. The Arabic arches, now fully revealed are just the perfect photo op for bride and groom.

My first beautiful bride Federica, spent the night before her wedding day here with her sister, the morning of, photographed while hairdresser and make up artist worked and then family and close friends arrived to see her off in a shower of rice and loose change after feasting on homemade lemon tart, meringues and heart shaped shortbread all made by me.

It was just wonderful to see the streets of la Rabatana come alive, elegantly dressed, laughing, happy guests. A white carpet and white cyclamen completed the scene. Just fabulous!

On 29th December the beautiful Vera from Siberia prepared for her wedding in the charming Church here in la Rabatana. Then slept the first night here.

The Mandarine is a beautiful apartment, oozing romance and the perfect wedding venue, pre or after the nuptuals.....or watch this space maybe for an intimate wedding reception. The private terrace perfect for a party of up to 20 eating al fresco. The wedding service could be held in the ancient Town Hall, the bride arriving by tuk tuk or donkey for instance. A wedding with a difference, intimate, unforgettable, simple.

Through all the problems getting this house finished l am just so very happy to be able to share it with the World and to have rescued the other half before it collapsed completely. Together with The Bergamot these two apartments are a dream come true.
